Cheat

This cheat works on both Red Ace Squadron and Red Ace Squadron Pro. Although you can cheat much more easily in Pro using the Red Ace Squadron Pro cheat method.

First go to the directory the game was installed to - its typically

c:\Program Files\SmallRockets\RedAceSquadron

You can to this by clicking the right mouse button on the squadron icon on the desktop. Then select 'Properties'. Next click 'Find target...', and this will take you to the appropriate directory.

Now open the file 'characters.ini' with notepad. Go down the file using the cursor (arrow keys), until you get to the section starting with a line

alliedmissionsc=

You can now crack open or close missions by changing the 0s to 1s and vice versa. To open up all the levels

alliedmissionsc= 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
centralmissionsc= 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1

Or to open up the first 3 allied missions ...

alliedmissionsc= 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

You must save the file and close notepad before starting Squadron to see the changes take effect.
