Update to Red Ace Squadron Pro!

Red Ace Squadron has been superseded by 'Red Ace Squadron Pro'. RAS Pro adds a host of new multiplayer features as well as new single player difficulty modes. Best of all if you purchased RAS from this website you can get RAS Pro for FREE, just by downloading and installing. If you bought RAS elsewhere you'll need to contact your vendor for their policy on RASPro.

This rest of this page holds information about the original Red Ace Squadron game, some of which may not be applicable to RAS Pro.

Hints & Tips

Single Player

Don't forget to make use of pick-up points (in Normal mode) - it's very useful to be able to repair and re-arm your plane in the middle of the mission.

If you are flying a mission with friendly wingmen, look after them - they will often come to your aid and help you out in sticky situations.

Multiplayer

Sometimes it's better to run away rather than go down in a ball of flames! Keep some turbo in reserve in case you need to make a swift exit.

Planes have different attributes, such as speed, responsiveness, firepower and ability to resist enemy fire. Experiment to discover which plane best suits your playing style.

Your visibility on the radar decreases the closer you fly to sea-level - use this to sneak up on your opponents!

If you are locked in circling combat, try an "Immelmann turn" - pull back as if to perform a loop, then, when you are upside down, roll upright - you will find yourself facing a different direction, and will have hopefully lost your enemy.
