Hints and Tips
Single Player
Don't forget to make use of pick-up points (in Normal mode) - it's very useful to be able
to repair and re-arm your plane in the middle of the mission.
If you are flying a mission with friendly wingmen, look after them -
they will often come to your aid and help you out in sticky situations.
Multiplayer
Sometimes it's better to run away rather than go down in a ball of flames! Keep some turbo
in reserve in case you need to make a swift exit.
Planes have different attributes, such as speed, responsiveness, firepower and ability to
resist enemy fire. Experiment to discover which plane best suits your playing style.
How the server is configured can radically change how you play the game. For example by default
the map visibility means if you fly close to the ground your plane will become less visible on your
opponents map. If you fly low enough you will become invisible, and you can
use this to sneak up on your opponents!
If you are locked in circling combat, try an "Immelmann turn" - pull back as if to perform a loop,
then, when you are upside down, roll upright - you will find yourself facing a different direction,
and will have hopefully lost your enemy.
